My daughter is taking me to the bookstore, where she tells me I can "pick out any book that I want."

Of course... she's 4, and I'll be the one paying for this book, but I think that makes it all the more adorable.

That's funny. My daughter (6) thought it would be a good idea if she took me for lunch.

Happy fathers day everyone. I went and visited my dad for a bit today, and we're going to go golfing sometime soon.

I was supposed to have dinner with my dad tonight, but his plane had some mechanical difficulties and had to stay in Vegas for another night.

My 3 month old bought me a gift for father's day. Mom bought him a Flames hoodie!

Just sat outside and had a cigar with my dad and some wine. Pretty awesome.

Had dinner with my dad - jambalaya at his request. We're gonna play a round of golf some time this week.

I'm surprised we don't have a 'supernerd dad' contest. First one to post their presents closest to 8A Mountain.

I got some Star Wars books I've had my eye on for a while from my Dad. Got a painted by a 3 year old travel mug, and a mouse pad with pictures of my two boys.

Went over to my parents for dinner last night and had some nice smoked ribs and a roast chicken, with black forest cake for desert. What a perfect way to end the week.

My present was my little girl running up and saying "Happy Father's Day, I love you soooo much".

That and my tuition being paid.

my boy took me golfing (at the RCGA minigolf, he's 4) and then we went to the comic convention. Apparently he loves fathers day.

He should have built the plate out of small blocks if he likes Minecraft that much!

Oh he does that a lot; either making blocks out of clay, or cutting things into blocks, or anything with blocks. He freaked out at the lady wearing a creeper mask at the convention, wanted to follow her around. He's pretty much obsessed.

my son gave me a collection of drawings. He started kindergarten last fall, every 3 months the teacher had the class draw a picture of Dad. The amount of improvement you can see from Sept to now is fantastic. One of the nicest gifts I've ever received.

^its hard to understand until you're a dad that these kinds of gifts from the kids, along with a hug and kiss, are the best gifts you can ask for. My daughter gave me a picture frame she painted with a picture she drew of her and I. I'm sure that to everyone else it's lame, but it almost brought tears to my eyes!
