Default Tornado watch issued for Edmonton area

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmont...ado-watch.html

Environment Canada has issued a tornado watch for the Edmonton area.

Environment Canada issued the watch after determining weather conditions are favourable for the development or funnel clouds of weak tornados.

Sold my Edmonton investment Trailer in Edmonton's Trailer Park of Champions weeks ago. A lot of Edmontonians sure wanted it!

Environment Canada is getting a little carried away...erring on the side of caution I suppose.

Current temperature - 11°. Way too cool for anything of significance to happen.

These would be for cold core funnels, they rarely touch the ground and are pretty much never destructive. They strike fear in people more than hurt anything.

So did any tornadoes actually touch down?

Just curious to know if any improvements occurred.

Haha hey, its better than beer league baseball for trying to stay somewhat in shape. Some of those guys can ball, def more bang for my buck than I was expecting when I signed up.

And to who was asking (don't know how to multiquote), I don't know about the rest of central Alberta, but definitely nothing happened in Edmonton tornado-wise last night. Like some of you guys were saying, it was just a watch, not a warning, and probably way too cold for anything to get going. Could see my breath last night even. Lame.
