Default SLI Causing Sound Issue

So I've had this problem for about a year, hoping at some point a new driver would actually fix it, which hasn't happened. I'll also preface by saying that every driver possible is up to date. Also I know SLI is causing the problem because after a driver update once I noticed the problem had stopped. A couple hours later I realized the update had disabled SLI, once I enabled it the problem came back.

Once I put my second vid card in I started getting really bad crackle and popping in my sound after about 5 minutes. A reboot will fix it and I would be good until I left my PC off over night. So I got in the habit of booting and then immediately restarting, this is a bit of a pain but does stop the issue. When it first started I thought maybe the onboard sound was the problem so I bought a souncard and disabled onboard sound in the bios, no change.

I've also noticed that when the crackle starts my backlit keyboard flickers and starts to act up (keys not working momentarily). So possibly a power issue?

The real question is why is this happening? (searches online have been fruitless) And how does a reboot fix the issue?

I guess an option would be to buy a new vid card equal to the 2 I have now. Anyone want to buy 2 GTX 260's?

Off the top of my head (been over a year since I built the thing) I believe it's an 800 watt OCZ. I can check when I get home but it should be more than sufficient.

Bump, just did a fresh windows install when I got the new SSD hoping that it might somehow help, it didn't. Fresh up to date drivers, no incremental updates.

To be specific since I never really answered it this is my powersupply.

At least my reboot every time is much shorter thanks to the SSD.
