Default Sold

Sata III 64MB 7200RPM

Brand new and sealed in the package still, never used. I didn't realize you could get warranty replacements for drives and had already bought a replacement. Comes with invoice dated June 2/2011 from Memory Express.

$70

$60? Is it so small now that no one wants to bother with a heavily discounted brand new drive?

Is SATA III backwards compatible? If I have a SATA II MB can I plug in thos drove and use it, just not ralizing the performance benefits?

A mechanical harddrive will never even use up half the bandwidth of SATA II much less SATA III. SATA III is useless for mechanical drives. There are no performance benefits.

It will work fine.

MemEx has a 7 day return policy. Especially if it's unopened.

Even if it was a warranty replacement?

You can't return a warranty replacement like it was a new purchase.

Give them a call and explain the situation. They might deduct a 10% restocking fee for their trouble, but you'll get more for it that way than by selling it privately (I think).

Edit: I'm assuming it was a MemEx warranty replacement though. If it was a manufacturer replacement, then obviously you can't take it to MemEx.
