I have $30 to spend on iTunes. Wanna help?
I have a real issue with not buying entire albums. I literally cannot pull the trigger on a song (Subdivisions) that I know I would enjoy the entire album (Signals). I would love to fill in some large gaps in my collection, but I want to fill most of those gaps with entire albums. I can't buy a Drive By Truckers SONG for instance. Are you kidding me? What a waste.
So....In order to spend these gift cards and start making use of iTunes (My lifetime iTunes history consists of the purchase of 1 out of print album and a free single, the rest of my library is ripped from CDs ) I am looking for 30 epic songs.
Ground rules
1. Rock only please....I have an extremely limited taste for hip-hop and own most of the country I could ever imagine having. Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, Ke$ha, Bieber....and their ilk are off limits.
2. I like melody, crunchy guitars, minor chords, no death metal etc. Not just that stuff, but those are some things to go on. I do like a wide variety of rock.
3. Could be from any era. Many of my favorite albums are 40 years old or more.
I will wait for a bunch of suggestions and the post the 30 songs I go with......or nobody will reply, I'll cry a little and buy 3 albums a week from now.

Download some stuff by Hail the Villain, great Canadian band. Try My Reward, Runaway or Take Back the Fear.
Im also on a Hollywood Undead kick, Hear me now, Been to Hell, Undead, Young and my favorite Sell your Soul. Their first CD Swan Song is really good and the most recent American Tragedy is pretty solid too.

Mumford and Sons - Sigh No More.
Best album I have heard in a long time. It might be a bit more mellow than you're looking for though, although there is a wide variety of stuff on the album.
Listen to their clips, and check out their videos on Youtube. It's great when you first hear it, but the more you listen, the more it grows on you. Kind of like an ear fungus, I guess.

Drive-by Truckers is what shot right into my mind. Any of their albums are great but I really like "Southern Rock Opera."

Make sure to check out the World Container Album if you have not - it is a Angry hard album, the best since Day for Night.
As far as the We are the Same Album - Check out the Depression Suite, Coffee Girl and Last Recluse.
That is all...

I'm probably opening myself up to a world of ridicule but here goes:
The Bear - Calm Asa Coma
Black Hole - EvansBlue
Dirty Walls - Our Lady Peace
Oh My - Big Wreck (I realize he turned into Thornley, but he was more into guitar work back then)
Hold Fast - Black Lungs
Turning Heads - Sick City
Bomb Hands - Social Code
Whatever's Real - The High Crusade
Becoming the Bull - Atreyu
Hopefully something in there catches your ear

J.J. Cale's album Troubadour is something that I downloaded the other day, and sounds like it might fit your criteria. 70's rock at it's finest. If you're not familiar with Cale, Eric Clapton and others have covered a lot of his music...I think the Cale versions are better.

My post should have said all but the most recent album...not albums. World Container and In Between Evolution are both excellent.

In that case try The Depression Suite by the Hip from their latest album.
Also Illfercombe by Hawksley WorkmanM. Both beautiful songs.
