Default Acoustic pick up

Hello,

Question for the musical CP member.....I am planning to start playing some shows soon with my trusty ol acoustic guitar....unfortunatley the funds dont allow for me to get a new guitar with a built in pick up so am looking to do the add on to the standard acoustic....

Does anyone have any recommendations?

I am also a fingerstylist so would the chord actually get in the way of finger picking?

Thanks all.....any help would be awesome....

Most shops can install a pickup inside the body with the plug replacing the strap nut...

Otherwise it may get in the way if you use a removable unit.

You could try an external acoustic pickup http://cgi.ebay.com/JJBELECTRONICS-E...item3363dca2fc

Or try a condenser mic in front of the guitar http://cgi.ebay.com/CAD-CM217-Conden...item2eb57f17e1

Both of these shouldn't get in the way. Hope this helps and good luck!

Just stick a condenser mic in front of your guitar when you are playing and need some more volume. You can get great results with this with the right sound tech.
