Draw names from a hat. Your name goes in twice.
Seems most fair.

Just hope the Flames don't make the playoffs and then you don't have to worry.

Lol don't get me wrong I consider myself a staunch capitalist, but I don't want to do that to my friends.

They are your tickets... and IF we make playoffs why would you give any to your friends?

They're your tickets even if you're sharing them. I think you should get at least one guaranteed game per series and then draw for the rest of the seats.
Edit. Actually I agree with REDVAN. Go to all the games and if you can't decide who to bring with you just draw their names.

You should get one seat. ask who wants that guaranteed first round vs who would be willing to go to the second round (if it happens). I know there would be people that would prefer to give up the earlier games to see the later play off games.
or do a draw. First 3 go to the first game and the second 3 go to the second game. If there is a third at home it rotates... back to group A.

I'm in same boat (I have a 1/4, 1/4, 1/2 split). I think I'm just going to tell them that we all take each other to the games in the same split as above if possible. Then we all get to go to more games...but I'm not sure either.
I've split mine with these guys for 3 years now in the same split....this is a great problem to have.

I am running into the same issue, but I have only split it with 5 guys including myself, 1 of the guys only took 4 games, so I don't think he will be asking for a spot, I took 15, and the other guys had 8,9,5.
I am considering doing what most have suggested as well, that I (The person whose tickets it is) gets a guaranteed seat to each game, and then draw for who will get the other seat to each game, I have not been able to think of any other way to do this, other then we each split it, because there are only 4 people, we each get 1 game.
Good luck, post what you end up using as a method.

Thanks for all the input everyone. To be honest I still have no idea what I'm going to do so am still interested in hearing more opinions, and particularly what people have done in the past with their own tickets. I wonder if setting up a poll would help me and everybody in a similar predicament.
EDIT: I've created a poll. If anybody wants to see other options added (in regards to their own situation or whatever) just let me know.

I've never shared my playoff tickets with people that buy reg season games from me. Pretty much the only reason I still have seasons tickets is to go to the playoff games.

A written agreement in the beginning would be helpful, like the kind that offices do in sharing lottery tickets. Define from the start who gets playoff tickets, and in what circumstances.

I think it depends on the circumstances. I sell some of my tickets as one offs to people, which doesn't come with any playoffs.
If I was sharing tickets (ie, someone took a fixed percentage of the games) I'd think a similar % of playoff tickets is reasonable.
Of course, troutman is right that the best plan is to have it worked out in advance so there's no hard feelings.
