Well the big draft is tomorrow. Will the Stamps trade the pick? Will they Select Jesse Lumsden?
IMO, the Stamps trade the #1 pick to Hamilton. Stamps get Hamiltons 1st round pick and a player (not sure who).
Any predictions........

I don't know, it's such a crapshoot, especially with Lumsden getting a serious look from Seattle. The problem is that I don't see anyone on Hamilton's roster that would make it worthwhile. How about this: Hamilton gets Lumsden and Calgary's second-round pick in 2006, Calgary gets Hamilton's first round pick this year and first round pick next year. No immediate impact, but you get an additional first-rounder next year, which could be very high (likely top 3 overall). [/b][/quote]
Yeah, the Stamps should've been playing up the fact that they were going to take him regardless.
Let Hamilton pay (the Stamps) to get the rights to this guy (to play where his dad played, and for his old CIAU coach).
He's going to Hamilton regardless IMO...if the Stamps don't trade him to Hamilton, another team will.
Get an extra pick this year or next, or a roster player, to move down a few spots in an otherwise faily wide open draft with no standout past Lumsden.
Not sure about how serious Lumsden is going to get looked at in Seattle. The only NFL team to step up, and this is standard for any undrafted FA to be invited to mini-camp, and they're all told the same hopefully underdog story to give them hope.
Sometimes its real hope, many other times, its false hope.
With Alexander, Maurice Morris, and fellow Canadian (who played a higher level of college ball at Stanford) in Kerry Carter (who rarely touches the field), Lumsden has a lot of work to do and dues to pay before getting regular playing time, if he gets through camp. But the seed has been planted, and will likely stick around as long in the NFL holding clipboards and making the NFL minimum as he can before having to return to Canada to actually play football.
