Shaw planning to implement metered internet

Looks like it's time to switch providers.

One of Canada’s largest Internet providers appears to be planning a move towards a metered pricing model for Web access, a move which has drawn swift condemnation from critics of so-called usage-based billing practices.
During a conference call with shareholders on April 13, executives with Calgary’s Shaw Communications Inc. alluded to plans to implement a usage-based billing (UBB) regime on its Internet customers as early as this summer.

UBB in it's pure form would be fine with me. Meaning that if you use less you get to pay less too, but that probably wont' be the case, since we are talking about a corporation whose purpose is to make more money, not less.

Probably gonna switch to Telus Optik if all else fails. I don't ever go over my monthly transfer limit, but maybe I'll switch out of principle.
