the smearing of aspartame is right on par with the zealous attacks on immunization from loony parents. no hard research at all just "my friend saw a report"

I can't even drink regular soft drinks anymore, they all taste totally gross to me now.
I can't imagine what this tastes like, I'll have to try it. Is it anywhere in regular convenience stores? Or just in bulk?

This stuff is delicious! I found it at Safeway on 16th Ave but it wasn't at the North Hill Safeway. Hopefully it becomes more widely available.

I love the taste of aspartame now. I started drinking diet to shave off the calories and I will never go back to regular soft drinks.

Some people are supertasters and artificial sweeteners taste like total ass to them. Sort of like how some people can't stand cilantro since it tastes like soap to them.

Old news; still waiting for the announcement from Coca-Cola heralding the much anticipated return of Vanilla Coke to Canada.

They have it in Australia. I drank it everytime I had the option, and shed a single tear of joy.

Vanilla Coke tasted like cough syrup.

Only if you added the cough syrup afterwards.

I bought 3 cases of the diet Cherry Pepsi at Shoppers Drug Mart on Saturday. They had the 3 cases for $10 sale on. It's great stuff. Might go back and get 3 more and throw them down in the basement... I'll go through them eventually. Though I have been told that the one real proven drawback of aspartame is that it breaks down over time, so the older the can of pop, the worse it tastes.

I'm not sure when it will make its way up to Canada but Pepsi Next is about the best reduced calorie soda I've had. I think it is still something like 1/3 of the regular calories but it is as close as I've tasted to regular Pepsi.
