Hamrlik traded to Penguins
With their second trade in some unknown number of days, the Blackhawks continued their re-tooling with the following trade:
Roman Hamrlik + 2011 3rd round draft pick (NAS) + $7,250,000 (2010-11)
for
2011 2nd round draft pick (DAL) + 2011 2nd round draft pick (DET)
The move gives the Pens a mobile defenseman with PP upside, while giving the Hawks a couple of picks that are expected to go near the start of the second round. It also eases pressure on already full pro and minor league rosters. In addition, it means being one pick closer to having every single pick in the 2011 draft.
Thanks Goffie for the fun and easy negotiations!
