shop.puma.ca has free shipping on orders over $85. Their prices seem pretty good as well. I have ordered shoes from there, and you just have to be careful about sizing. It seems to me that Puma's fit half a size larger than most other shoes.
(Nevermind, I fell asleep and didn't realize you were looking for dress shoes in particular)

Adidas has these massive sales at times. There are coupons for free shipping or buy one get one free type deals.

Why do you need to buy online? What's your budget? Trying shoes on before you buy them is pretty darn important.
Otherwise these guys are good, and cheap delivery fees.

Whatever you do, do not buy anything with a square toe.

I bought 3 pairs of dressy shoes for work a few weekends ago from Sears, had a 50% off sale. Pair 1 is very comfortable. Sears constantly runs deal on their shoes.
I have purchased somee online from Adidas and SportMart - unless you try the show on first alot of shoes are hit and miss. I bought a pair of hiking shoes from Adidas and the 12 fits perfect. The 12 runners I bought from sportmart are ok for light use but I would get blisters if I used them alot.

I buy rockports. I know what my size is and usually find them pretty dirt cheap at online retailers. I wear through shoes pretty easily, and these are the only ones I've owned that have ever lasted for more than 6 months.

Ahhh .... fair enough. I thought there was some biomechanical podiatric reason that everyone was aware of but me.
I'll just go sit forever alone in my ugly shoes now.

Peter is right though, trying them on is pretty damn important when buying shoes. And square toe shows are pretty bad.

I would recommend always trying on dress shoes. I can order any Nike, Puma or Asics online as their shoes are consistent. With dress shoes, I haven't found a pair of Hugo Boss that have ever fit me. I have a pair of Cole Haan shoes that have the Nike insoles, but they are still a size larger than a regular Nike fit. ecco shoes are fairly good, but you'll need to drop a size or two.
As for square tips, they are fine. I own round tips and square tips and they both look good. Tassles look ridiculous and I don't understand why people dress shoes with laces anymore. Laces don't look bad, but they don't serve a purpose anymore. To quote the commercial, I guess people like tripping.

Slip-on dress shoes are like hideous little boxes for your feet. They actually used to be called brogans, and were square-toed boots created as interchangeable left and right shoes for military wear.
Get a decent pair of oxford lace-ups. Gravitypope has a name-brand which has a price point of around $150.

Gotta agree on this one. Slip on dress shoes are a definite no-no.

Aldo is the pits. I am so anti-leather runners.
