Despite holding a 11-0 record since taking over the Habs, new GM isn't afraid to tinker here and there.

Today the Habs announce the acquisition of Ryan Malone from the Columbus Blue Jackets. Going the other way is Troy Brouwer and a 3rd round draft choice.

"We like Malone and what he brings to the table. He provides an upgrade to our third line as we make a push for the Stanley Cup. Brouwer didn't have the numbers for us this year but we wish him well as a BJ."

Another simple deal for us. Brouwer is putting up similar numbers to Malone in the NHL and is only 2OV lower but is much younger and cheaper. Going forward we look forward to having a guy like Brouwer but it looks like he might be flipped as offers are already coming in.
