Leafs make first deal

The new TOR GM didnt take long before he began chatting with a few GMs. According to the TOR GM the deal only took so long because he needed some time to determine who he was going to be moving forward with.

Los Angeles Kings Acquire:
Thomas Greiss

Toronto Maple Leafs Acquire:
2011 3rd Round Draft Pick (EDM)

Good deal for us, we don't plan on sticking around after the 2nd round and although Greiss is in Europe, he was worth taking a flyer on.

Nice and simple first deal - well done. Greiss probably could be a back up in the NHL but certainly being in Europe hurts his value. Seems pretty even.
