The charges hit the clan of Hung Pham pretty hard... it will be interesting to see if Ralph finally gets to punting Hung from the party, which should have happened years ago. From all the observer reports I've read in the press, his absenteeism, and lack of real involvement is a real black eye for the party.

I am not surprised to see charges finally being brought in this case.

To me it was fairly apparent that there was a good chance that Margo Aftergood was involved in rigging her municipal election.

After all, who would know better than a former Provincial Electoral Returning Officer on how to rig an election?

Margo Aftergood was the Provincial Electoral Returning Officier for Calgary -Mountain View in the 2001 Provincial Election...How obvious can you get?

Stupid criminals need to be ridiculed for their stupidity.

I'm suprised that Margret Aftergood wasn't charged at all. Major blow to the Pham's though, 3 of them charged, I'm sure Hung had something to do with it also.

Of course he had something to do with it.

And margot Aftergood certainly had a lot to do with it.

Nice to see someone get charged. "Oh I didn't do anything wrong, blah blah" Now you go to jail. You deserve it.

If you break the law, and then get caught, you'd think you could come up with a better excuse than "I did that yes, but I didn't know it was wrong." COME ON!

P.S. 100th post, yeah!

I doubt the penalty will be stiff enough even if they are convicted given the way our justice system work...but whatever, at least something was done.

They should throw our dumb ass mayor in jail too. Then we can put up those posters of him shaking Jean Chretiens hand again, behind bars.

What have you got against Bronco? I actually like him a hell of a lot better than Al "I do nothing but suck up to Chinatown" Duerr. All those interchanges Bronco built has improved my daily commute alot

all those interchanges were initiated before Bronconnier even got into office. Those things take years to go through the process....

He looks like the poster boy for autism, plus he is the only mayor to buy his seat. At least Al Duer has a chinese wife, i guess you haven't been to any chinese banquets where Broncslow tries to speaks chinese. Makes everyone lose their appetite.

He was the one that didn't want to go through all the hassle in investigating the Ward 10 fiasco. He just wanted to brush everything under the table and let Aftergood BE the alderman.

Those interchanges were approved when Ralph Klein was the mayor. So what has Broncslow done for us???

Just wait til Bronco blows 100 mil or so on the east villiage, and then oour run of consecutive tax hikes in Calgary can continue for another 5-10 years.

City Hall makes Edmonton and Ottawa look like poster boys of responsible gov't.
