Definitely cheaper...check out a site like hockeymonkey.com in regards to finding a ballpark on american pricing. That being said, trying to find a dedicated hockey store in Phoenix was tough...the last few times I've been down in Phoenix I've been meaning to find one but its tough. Where in Phoenix will you be?

Will be on the Glendale side of things. A mile from the rink if I remember correctly.

This reminded me of when my wife was traveling with her Mom in the North Eastern States. She called me to see if the boy needed hockey equipment as the place near the hotel was having a big sale. I said, yes, hockey pants. Loonie was at par at the time and when she texted me the price and style for the hockey pants, i told her what size to get. Of course i neglected to tell her a color, i really didn't think it was necessary... only kid on the team not wearing black pants this season...

New skates for me tomorrow!

You know you can get a shell for like $20 to put over them if you want black pants, right?

Sorry guys , late to the party.. Hockey gear is definitely cheaper in the US, mainly because the Canadian Manufacturers wont allow cheap online wholesale sales... Although on Boxing day I got some One70s ( skates) cheaper than I could find here or online. I would buy everything online if I could but skates are one things I have learned to spend a little more to get fitted and get to try them on and have them bake and fix them for you.
Also now that I have talked about cheaper prices, if your only going to save 10 bucks or so support your local hockey stores! They are the ones who will help you when you need last minute repair . I benefit from online sales through my site but I dont think you shouldnt let local hockey shops have a chance to earn your business. On occasion they can lower prices to get closer to online retailers.
O.P. - Also dont know what kind of gloves your looking for but my site has 99 dollar eagle PPF in Navy and Black. Most comfy gloves you will prob ever wear !
Let me know if you need help finding anything and I will be glad to help! You can also visit DailyHockeyDeal.com !

Check goalie monkey and if they have something you like, do what my folks do, have it delivered to the hotel and have them hold it for you
