Default Sports Trivia Question

Okay - so, I am at work today and one of the managers came up with a trivia question which none of us could answer - so after searching the interweb with no joy I thought I should turn to the brilliance that could only be CP (yeah, creep, I know!). So, this could be a trick question but what is the common link concerning dimensions in baseball, basketball and hockey? Someone on here will know the answer I am sure.

2 laps around the baskeball court equals 1 lap around the rink, but I can't figure out the baseball connection.

Well if it is a real question and not a trick it will have something to do with the basepaths or distance from home plate to the pitchers mound because ball parks have no set dimensions.

Sorry, guys, I forgot. Seems like the manager was a teensy bit off (but I am afraid to tell him!). He said the common dimension is 6 feet by 4 feet. Hockey - size of the goal; baseball - size of the batter's box and, this is where he was wrong, in basketball the back board which is, in fact, 6 feet by 42 inches. I know I know but he doesn't know I know, so all is good

Tell him anyway. Just to see his reaction when he finds out that you're right.
