Thrashers take it on the chin today but the Bruins lose Lehtinen with a day to day injury. Habs and Sens combine for 13 goals, with the Habs scoring 5 in the third!

Well someone forgot to tell the Sens and Habs to play defence. Playoff Todd Bertuzzi looks to be quite different than regular season Todd Bertuzzi so far. Even if the Habs do lose out in this round they have like five guys who could still end up top 10 in scoring with the number of goals they've scored thus far.

As for the other game, theres just something about the CPHL Bruins in the playoffs. Doesn't matter who they throw over the boards, they always win.

Impressive start for Boston - particularly that first period - 20-3 shots on goal! Wow. That's the way to start a series.

Sens have a 3rd period meltdown and lose.

Sens will need to regroup next game

The Bruins took it to the Sparrows in the first. Under the threat of violence from Bruins GM KevanGuy, the players came out FLYING. They embarrassed the Thrashers 'quality' defense by firing 20 shots in just the first period. The meek Thrash only managed to scrape together 3 shots in the opening frame.

The game continued on with a similar theme. The Bruins kicking ass. Final score 6-2.

Power Play Conversions

BRUINS 1 for 7
THRASHERS 0 for 2

Game Stars

1 - Pavol Demitra (BRU)
2 - Ilya Kovalchuk (BRU)
3 - Nicklas Lidstrom (BRU)

Jason Allison took the cowards way out in the third by intentionally charging and injuring Jere Lehtinen. Revenge for this pathetic act will be swift and direct.

Thrashers Goon It Up

Glen Murray gets ejected less than 3 mins into the game. But he must have taken a pretty good run at Leschyshyn, who is now out 1-2 weeks.

If that wasn't enough Jason Allison took out Lehtinen half way through the 3rd period and was also ejected.

Thrashers look forward for a chance to bounce back on Monday.
