Default Snowfall Warning

Just when we were getting used to fake spring:

Heavy snow today and into Saturday.

Snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 centimetres are expected by Saturday night. Light snow is likely to persist through the rest of the weekend.

I was hoping to go skiing this weekend, but if the roads are going to be terrible, maybe I'll stay home instead.

My Chinook blew out overnight, dropped 18 degrees

It's been very cold except this past week, since before Thanksgiving.

Crap. Bit of a road trip south of Lethbridge planned for the weekend (family stuff). We're leaving mid-afternoon so hopefully we get to our destination before things are too hairy.

Personally I'm excited and hope we get just a massive dump of snow.... I mean it's January, it's still winter, bring it on!

If the snow just falls straight down and is nice and fluffy I can handle it. If it starts coming down at severe angles and/or is heavy and wet, I give up.

Yes that's a good idea. You should stay home and not ski when the conditions are excellent.

the plows will be running non stop between calgary and banff. I don't think there is too much to worry about.

Excellent conditions = Cold, windy, frostbite, low visibility ?

I prefer the clear calm days. Froze my ass on the lift and skied in flat light too many times. Bob's got the right idea.
