Yeah I've looked into it every so often, and can never find one that works. Either it's too big or costs big $$ or something.
At one point I was even going to write my own, but couldn't even find a free source for the data that's in an easily consumable format, all the ones I found cost big $$.
But it's a new year, maybe there's something out there this year.

Sweet, let me know when its done
ETA: Plus screen scraping usually violates the ToS for most websites.

Just doing a search and I found this:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/mpiii/nhl
Someone want to write a php file that reads that feed and creates an HTML fragment to display? One that would cache the results and only get new ones every 5 minutes (so we don't get banned by feedburner)?

So with that feed I found it ended up being pretty easy to write a file to parse it and display the info.
Unfortunately I can't change what timezone it's displayed in.

Nicely done! I definitely like the addition.
I also like the old NHL logo USA Today still uses.

Lol I never thought about when there was lots of games, I might have to scroll it, or at least put it in a expandable box or something.

Good idea, should be fixed the next time it goes and gets the info (it updates every 5 minutes).

Great idea Pylon, and thanks Photon. Makes it much easier to check the scores than to open a new page.

Looks good, photon. Nice jorb!
I was going to say the mpiii feed probably violates the ToS for ESPN's Bottomline application but I wasn't able to find the ToS anywhere. It doesn't ask you to agree to anything before installation either so that's nice.

Yeah, it could mean that the mpiii feed will up and disappear someday, so I guess we'll enjoy it while we can. And it's on feedburner so I'm less worried about some kind of legal action.
And I made it so that it only requests the feed once every 5 minutes (though it does come from the CP server), I could have done it so the request came from the browser's computer, but that would have added hundreds of thousands of hits to the feed a day, and that's more likely to get noticed.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but right now it says that the Phoenix/Toronto game ended in the 2nd Ot, when it was the shootout. I don't know if you can change this, it really doesn't matter, just something I've never noticed before.
