What to do in Vegas on Valentine's
Pretty simple question, the GF and I are heading to Vegas to rip it up before tax season starts, we happen to be there over Valentine's day and I'm looking for suggestions.
Where do we go? What do we do? Should I book it in advance or wait till I get there? Is it already too late and am I screwed?

If you want to see a show, find one of the Tix4Tonight booths that are scattered along the strip. The have discount tickets for the nights shows.

Well, if I were going to Vegas with my husband, I think that the gondola ride at the Venetian would be very romantic.

You can make a reservation, do this on Valentine's Day before or after dinner, and get in 'the mood'
Personally, I would LOVE this.. and I'll bet your girlfriend would too!

I've tried this before, they're usually closed in January and February because its too cold (12-15 degrees). Yes, Vegas' version of cold and ours are not even close.
No, I'm not going to the Spearmint Rhino, I dont think shed appreciate that. A hooker and blow she would most certainly not condone, although the drugged up threesome is an interesting, if not necessarily legal or sanitary mix.
I think we're going to a show another night, but the suggestion for the ticketbooth is good, done that before too.
What is Battista's? Unlimited wine sounds both appealing and dangerous.

It's a little Italian restaurant in a strip mall behind Bally's. They have unlimted wine (white or red I think) and the food is not bad. Tell the accordian player you're from Canada and he plays something special for you.

Save up your money and take her to a nice restaurant. I know, there probably isn't many in Vegas, but you should be able to find four or five to choose from (per resort!).
Just spending time with me, away from the kids, is all my wife wants. So if I were to take her to Vegas, that is good enough right there, I wouldn't have to plan anything special for Valentine's day. With that in mind, perhaps you should just look for something to do that gives you quality time together.
Go up to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Doesn't take all evening... well waiting in line on Valentine's day might. Spend time watching the Bellagio Fountains. You know, simple stuff where it is just the two of you spending good time together. Then take her back to the hotel room.

Wolfgang Pucks at the MGM is a place I visit every time i go. Maybe not the most romantic setting but fantastic food and a hot spot for celebs.
Dinner, followed by a show followed by a surprise massage in your room to wind things down wouldnt be a bad way to go.

Well.... Crirqu du Solie for starters, probably KA, imo the best one or depending on the woman going to Zumanity on Valentines could really pay dividends. You can get it at Tix4 tonight, but how many Women are impressed with that? buy in advance and pay regular price, book on line. That way your not up in line at 8:00 am like a senior out garage sailing. I'm pretty sure you can get an indoor gondola ride at the Venitian. Also go up the "Eiffel Tower" at night time and catch a water fountain show or two while you are up there.
If you are near the Wynn thers an awesome little patio bar overlooking a pond with a waterfall. I cant remember the name of it but my woman like it there, drinks aer about 15- 20 bucks but that's one of her little Vegas things we always have to do.
Also book a Town car or Limo to pick you up at the airport, a town car cost us $40 (vs a $20ish taxi) and it sure is nice having the little driver waiting for you with a sign with your name on it. If There's more then 2 of you going go with the Limo, ours was I think 75 but split it, much better than a cab and a great way to start the vacation.

Why not take her to a Wedding Chapel and make it official? Valentine's Day would be perfect for that, no??

You give her $200 and tell her to go shopping. Then you get in a cab and say, "Spearmint Rhino."
For real though, it would make sense to go to "LOVE," which is a Cirque De Solei (sp) show at The Mirage. It's music from The Beatles.

I disagree completely. Going to Wolfgang Puck's is like going to Moxie's or Milestones but with cheesier atmosphere. It's generic upscale chain food.

^^^ This.
We did the one where they land you right in the Canyon for lunch, then fly you out and back.
The trip was about 2 hours round trip, and was $375 / person. Pay the extra $50 bucks per, and get the front seats. It was a top ten moment in my life taking that tour.
