New 2011 Rumors!
WHAT’S NEW?
I have been busy but am BACK and am here to provide you with all the rumors going around the CPHL.
Kings: Where to start??? This GM wants to be on every single deal in the CPHL but until recently he was unable to do anything because he was so strapped for cheese. Not that he has moved Arnott and his team is struggling he has decided to shake things up. We all know that the Kings and Jackets were chatting about Luongo but BJ has decided to see what else he can get. The latest rumors has Luongo and Weber possibly headed to New Jersey. Talks are ongoing but with BJ’s current unrealistic demands it might be awhile before any deals are done. We also know BJ has been chatting to the Penguins and Sharks about Weber. BJ has also been trying to land Sid the Kid but is unwilling to meet Goffie’s very reasonable demands. However, trades will happen in LA and they will happen soon. Look out!
Devils: Trying to acquire Luongo and Weber suggest the Devils think they can make the playoffs this season. Look for Steve to make some noise in the second half of the season as he adds some key pieces of the puzzle. NJ is chatting to the Kings, Flyers and Avalanche.
Sharks: the Sharks put Peverly on the market but there was a little bit of interest. The Flyers and Canadiens made offers but therizzle will likely hang onto Peverly for the time being with the current injuries his club is experiencing.
Avalanche: GM Patrick is not looking to make a lot of moves right now as he is being patient and enjoying his team’s recent success. He is also apparently afraid to make a deal just in case it is rejected by the league.
Ducks: What’s Ravi doing? Trading solid 1st line players for young kids who can’t even contribute? Is he going insane? Rumor has it that Ravi is trying to shop Heatley but there hasn’t been a lot of interest in the aging winger.
Jackets: The Jackets are trying to package up Byfuglien and Oshie for one more top line player to round out there top 6. However, GM Penney likes Oshie more than most so only time will tell if someone is willing to pay the asking price. He is hoping Byfuglien’s breaking out party in the NHL will help his cause.
Flames: The latest out of Calgary is that no one wants old players.
Phoenix: The rumor out of the desert is that the GM has gone missing. A full search and rescue mission is underway to try and locate him. Keep your fingers crossed that he will be found safe and sound and that he can return to work.
