Knockoff or authentic? Is the color red or maroon?

you will have to post a picture. The red and yellows are fakes. Are the lettering white and smooth or off white and fuzzy?

These fake jerseys irk me so bad. I went to BPs the other night to watch the Flames vs Canucks game since the official Flames twitter was talking about a draw for jerseys and Heritage Classic tickets. When I got there, they had a FAKE jersey hanging from the rafters as a prize. Not impressed. Even worse, the guy running the contests was wearing a fake jersey to! I spent good money on my authentic jersey, and a guy that's going around promoting the team is wearing a knock-off jersey!?!? C'MON!!!

The real jersey is more "maroon" then red. Also the material on the stitching on the fakes is significantly different, and is easily discernible. The original has a felt C as well, instead of that material.

Pretty damn easy. Reals - Maroon, Fakes - Red
Reals - numbers/crest etc are off white and felted, Fakes are pure "glow in the dark"white and shiny.
Fakes also have odd striped arms.

One of the easiest indicators for me st the string at the collar. The fakes look like a cheap white shoelace while the real jerseys have a thicker off white (same colour as the felt) string.

FAKE:
-same colors as a carton of fries from McDonalds (bright red/yellow)
-flaming C is white
-the neck string is white
-it has a fight strap and is called "authentic" even though you're paying $60
-name and numbers are white
REAL:
-more of a dark red burgandy and yellow
-flaming C is beige and made of felt
-neck string is beige
-name and numbers are made of felt
I found theis in a different thread on CP

Really the tie is your easiest indicator? Not the fact it looks like some 10 year old kid made it?

Not the easiest, but yes, one of. The thickness and texture of the string is quite different, and I am slightly colourblind so from a distance I can't always tell what material the crest is.
