I'm hoping to see a lot more from the first line. While I was happy about the win in game one I was really disappointed by how invisible the first line was. Gaudreau in particular hasn't looked very dangerous all playoffs as to me he looks like a ghost of the player we have been used to seeing over his career with the Flames. I'm happy the team has won in spite of him not being his best but I'm not sure they can continue to progress without the first line hitting its stride.

Stars haven’t won a non skills comp since Feb 25th. Flames haven’t won a game 2 of a series since 2004. Something has to give tonight.
The way the Stars are talking is if they lose tonight that could be the series (that is what Boomer has been implying this morning from what he has heard from the Stars reporters)
Big game tonight hopefully the Flames can keep rolling
Getting the W in this game will be quite a bit more difficult than in game one. Wouldn't be surprised to see Bishop, and the Stars have had a game to adjust to the new level of intensity compared to the round robin.
Gonna need some hard mistake free hockey, and a lucky bounce or two, to get this one.
I've got the lucky bounce covered, I think. I put my 1980's Flames toque on the TV mount above the TV. Worked last time.

It's a good thing the Flames won game 1, because they're as close to an automatic loss in game 2 as it gets. Would be nice to change that, but unless Gaudreau and Monahan step it up probably not likely. You can't expect Lucic and Dube to carry you every game

The Flames have been progressing well for the last 3 games. Their only bad game was game 2 of the qualifier. And game 2s have been a dark spot for them for some time. So today will tell us a lot about this team: same old god game-bad game team, or starting to turn the corner?
(and I don't think they have to win to show us they are turning the corner, but they have to play a solid and worthy game)

Would be nice to see both Gaudreau and Giordano elevate their games tonight. I’m not trying to sound negative here as things have gone very well thus far but as mentioned above, we can’t expect Lucic and Dube to continue to provide the bulk of the scoring. If our top line can get going the Flames have a good shot at making a deep run.
Although I will not be able to leave work early, with the excuse that I need to go watch hockey, I'm looking forward to this! Go Flames Go. I hope it does not go into 5 overtime periods.
