Nice write up Bingo.
On Lomberg, I think Peters likes him because he's a high-energy guy, a hard worker, and probably a bit of a character whose presence keeps the other guys loose.
Judging from only the highlights tonight, Smith looked to me like he's still fighting (as he should). He's still over-reacting a bit compared to when he's really on his game, but it's great to see his attitude: he's really trying. Nice to see it pay off for him again tonight.

I think Lindholm’s goal was arguably as legit as it was offside, and do not feel bad one bit for breaking out the triple Lindy.

My analysis was if the offside position of the puck with respect to the blue line was required for a goal, i.e. that is being reviewed to determine if the puck was "over the goal line" in my opinion there is no way it counts. Same standard should have applied here: Not clearly offside. Therefore, I approve of your Triple Lindy.

I'm with you guys on that one. A couple of pixels and a single frame of video across a blue line that doesn't have a razor-sharp edge. Linesman was in the perfect position to make the call live, I think sometimes we forget that video has limitations. I would trust the live call in that situation.
I threw my hat at the TV when he scored his "third".

I'm with you on giving Jankowski/Neal/Mangiapane some time to show they are a legitimate line.
But I believe long term, and in the playoffs particularly, Backlund/Neal/Tkachuk is going to be the second line. That ultimately is the best chance for secondary scoring IMO.
Or I will just be wrong as usual.

Please let Ryan Lomberg Hathaway never ever be a line again.
No one can brag about depth, injuries or not, if that's a 4th line.
I feel sorry for Ryan and tbh can't blame him for having 0% of the shot attempts all things considered.

I was at the game and my buddy and I saw BOTH linesmen wave it as onside. You can clearly see this in the video below. This is what killed me about them taking it back. They sure looked at it a long time, and you could tell it wasn't an easy decision. But when you have BOTH linesmen wave it onside, I think that should be the call.
I can't figure out how to embed this video, but here's the link:

Bennett hasn't been that great in the last two games ... bit of that edge missing so they could certainly try that when Backlund comes back.
