Did they ever say why the officials blew the play dead while Carolina had the puck before the leafs got the empty-netter?

Unfortunately it's looking like the leafs will make the playoffs. I think I hate them more than the habs and canucks now.

Domi scores another goal, 5-2 Habs after forty minutes. The surprise so far has the BJs defeating the Islanders 3-2 in regulation time.
