Default [Deal] Tesla offering 1.99% financing on a brand new Model Y

Pretty solid deal for anyone looking to purchase a Tesla. 1.99% if you take delivery by end of September. In addition to the federal and provincial tax credits, you can also get $1300 off by using an existing Tesla's owner referral code. I've had my Tesla for 4 years now and it's by far the best car for value I've ever driven. If you have any questions in general feel free to pm me.

How much do you get from the referral code?

I'm electric car curious, but 100% won't be buying a Tesla.

Elon Musk purchased Twitter to support Trump, and will certainly use it as a tool in November to try to overturn the US election.

I would get $650 which I could put towards accessories, supercharger credits or a new Tesla

To be fair, I don't believe he purchased twitter to support Trump. He purchased Twitter to protect free speech.

No way, this was always about Musk and the Saudis buying a propaganda tool. Otherwise it didn’t make any sense.

We can agree to disagree on this one. I'd rather keep the politics out of this thread

I will also look into a plug-in hybrid or a full EV for my next car purchase, but will never consider a Tesla, mainly because their build quality is sh*t.

Also, Elon Musk being a muppet doesn't help.

I'm in the exact same boat. Totally interested in an EV, but I couldn't imagine getting a Tesla. There are so many choices for an EV now, Tesla is probably at the bottom of the list.

For me Elon has exposed himself as an idiot on Twitter, to the point where I question if I want anything to do with him.

I'm sure many CEO's are idiots, but he takes the cake for demonstrating it daily with asinine posts.

He also seems to be making bonehead decisions at both his major companies, so I wonder how he will look after me if I was a customer of his. This is an issue as Tesla is rated as the 2nd worst car company for reliability by Consumer Reports, so I expect there'd be a lot of headaches with a tesla.

Anyways, it will be really interesting to look back at Tesla in 5 years and see what has happened. My impression is that there are lots of people that went from a favourable impression of Tesla to strongly unfavourable.

I’ll also look to an EV for my next vehicle, but there is zero chance it’s going to be a Tesla. Average car, trash company, enriching a trash person.

No thanks.

Right. You're here to spam, not talk about Musk's awful views.

Elon didn't buy Twitter to support Trump, he bought Twitter cause he's an emotionally immature child who got baited into badly overpaying for it (remember, he desperately tried to get out of it, but was legally bound). But now that he's stuck with it, yes, he is using it like all other rich people use the media, to advance their political views.

That sack of #### crybaby Elon would have to pay me to drive a POS Tesla. I feel sorry for people who bought one before the quality took a nosedive and he went insane. Not only are the cars dog#### now but you’re literally supporting an insane person.

Bumper stickers like this should be provided to all legacy Tesla owners.
Spoiler!

LOL, do you still believe this? He purchased twitter so he'd have a louder mouthpiece to blast his feces around. If he believed in protecting free speech, he wouldn't be blocking all the views he disagrees with and amplifying all the ones he agrees with.

Also, I don't believe this forum allows for referral codes and the like. This seems like a thinly veiled attempt for you to cash in.

Naw anyone who still gave him any quarter after he called the diver "pedo-guy" because he said sending in a submarine was a dumb idea deserves to be laughed it, and I bet that vehicle was bought in 2018 or later.

We've had an EV for 3 years (not a Tesla), and are considering switching the other, this is a pretty attractive offer but I think we might land on something larger.

I'd say there are 2 criteria for it to be the right choice, #1 you can setup a 32Amp - 240V charger (~8-12 hour) at home (15 Amp x 120V is too slow, you'll be between 60 and 100 hours on most medium to long range vs) (the charger stations will eat away at almost all of your cost savings on fuel). #2 travel on the highway more than ~65% of the battery range in a single trip fewer than 12 times per year.

We've found in the 3 years, we've taken 3 trips further than 65% of our range. 2 of the trips were about 100% and 150% of range, so we planned a dinner stop near a DC charger in the middle. 1 trip was like 20 hours and we used our ICEV. I think we look at the next 3 years and feel we could fly for the that 1 trip if we had to.

Once you get into the city they are substantially better vehicles.
More responsive speed (no ramp up on torque).
Better handling (lower center of gravity)
Save money (power at home has been about 1/6 the cost of gas).
Less excuse to buy junk food at gas station
Quieter
Warm the car up in the garage with the garage door closed in the winter
No oil changes / shouldn't really ever need brakes (we don't really use the foot brake).

It does seem like we might be wearing the tires a little faster.

Can we maybe not Advertise a Tesla sale on CP.

I don't see anyone posting about great rates when Ford offers them, or putting out a referral code for it.

I could care less if anyone uses my code or not, I'll even edit my post and remove it. 99% of the people commenting on this thread have probably never driven a Tesla. If you did, and you ignored all your Elon hate you might think different. It's a great financing rate, awesome incentives and a great car. Mods please lock this thread if you see fit
