Home video editing....taking out unwanted audio

I shot some video and added my narrative as I filmed. However......my commentary is annoying!!! I want to keep the other sounds picked up by the camcorder.

Anyone know of a software capability that can remove some but not all audio from my home videos? I have a mac if that matters and use iMovie.

You mean you were talking as you were filming? Everything that the mic recorded is on one track and can not be separated. You may be able to do it with Apples pro apps but it would be cheaper to pay to have the entire video re enacted.

Or do your own foley work to recreate other sounds in the film.

You're pretty much hooped. Even the pro tools for Apple wouldn't be able to remove your voice accurately enough to leave behind the other sounds.
