Any confirmation of the second stage drone ship landing? Unfortunately the feed cut out, and I haven't been able to find info on the sucess/failure of the landing. 3/3 would be a great achievement!

Yeah I'm curious if they went 3 for 3.
The boosters landing at the same time was amazing to watch.

2 out of 3 it would appear, audio here confirming they lost the center core:

Pretty amazing, regardless.

SpaceX has confirmed The Verge's reporting that the middle core of SpaceX's Heavy Rocket missed the drone ship where it was supposed to land. "The center core was only able to relight one of the three engines necessary to land, and so it hit the water at 300 miles per hour, " reports The Verge. "Two engines on the drone ship were taken out when it crashed, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said in a press call after the rocket launch. It's a small hiccup in an otherwise successful first flight."
Ya...probably not many large pieces to collect.

The launch was amazing to watch, even though I was on my phone and someone kept trying to call me. It's definitely a thrilling time to be alive.

And crazy to think that the Saturn V could still lift 2 times the amount. At 10 times the price though.

FYI any learning space engineers... Spacex is your last desperation choice. Taking a job with any of Elon Musks businesses is tantamount to slavery.

I agree with what you're saying but poor choice of words. Very hard work and lots of overtime sure but you're still getting paid...

Kind of the nature of these cutting edge industries. I’m sure Tom Kelly wasn’t working regular hours for reasonable pay at Grumman in the 60s leading the design of the lunar module. That episode of from the earth to the moon sure made it seem like being an engineer on the Apollo project was pretty much years of hell with a great payoff towards the end (and then a kick in the nuts to finish it off)
