Already getting excited!! That Haas looks awesome from the pics I've seen...but maybe cause its tugging on my 911RSR heart strings. https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/h...vf-20-46925778
Hopefully the fires and coronavirus arent going to play havoc with the schedules.
Also, we may as well start confirming who is in/out for the 2020 Pool!! Just reply to the thread and I'll make sure to add you.
We charged people $10 last year for the trophy and there was some $$ left over for prizes for 2nd + Most correct that I grabbed. Sadly, I have no plans to see a race this year, but if people want to send $10 entry fee again I can grab something online sometime this year (or get the $$ to anyone lucky enough to hit a race this year).
Also, proposed changes to the scoring based on feedback
- 1 point for correct top 10 finisher
- 4 point for correct pick slot (I also like getting slot points based on position, eg. Pick Ham 1st you get 1+1...Pick Stroll in 10th you get 1+10. Rewards having the more difficult mid field picks right). But you should get more "reward" for picking the right slot than a top 10.
So...let me know if you are in/out and if you're ok with $10 fee and point scoring.

Also, I am in! big time. I like the idea of 1 point for a correct pick, 4 points for the correct slot, maybe just for fun, add 1 point for who gets the fastest lap?

Yes, forgot that, but I will definitely include that...but you have to have the right driver slotted to get it (same as last year).

I love Alpha Centauri!!!
It was some of Sid Meier's best work. Kinda like Civilization II in outer space. Almost flunked out of uni because of it.
Oh and I'm in for F1 pool

Going to Austin again this year. I lucked out - my wife really got into it and is looking forward to this season.

Austin is AWESOME. The traffic was brutal, but it's a great city. Was there last year. Lemme know if you or BTimbit have any questions. We ran in to Danny Ricciardo there last year and got a photo with...
@speede5...I'd also consider Austria. It was easily the best track experience I've ever had, just so much fun. It's a hike from Vienna but we did it (Sunday only, with wife).

Traffic was a mixed bag last year. It was ok Fri & Sat but Sunday was a nightmare. It took us over 3 hours to get out there from DT. Luckily we got to our seats just as the warmup lap started.
Actually in Austin right now - a nice little get away from Houston.

Thanks again Flamesrule for getting the sweet prize swag together for last season!
Looking forward to doing it again! Although with the changes to the rules we'll see if I can compete again, I really ate up points off the easy early season pick of Hamilton Bottas 1-2 finishes
Excited for the car reveals!
