Both Friedman and Dreger say there seems to be traction on Dzingel today.

Teams that I believe have shown interest, to varying degrees, in Ryan Dzingel: Carolina, Boston, Columbus, St. Louis and Calgary...
Does he have amazing underlying stats or something? He never pops out to me when I see him play and his stat line isn't anything special considering the rumoured price.
Neither did Lindholm either I guess.... I trust Treliving and co

There was all sorts of momentum earlier today to make you think a Dzingel trade would be done today, and it still could I suppose, but the sense now is it’s not as much on the front burner at this time and may well carry over to tomorrow.

I think a few teams would want to know they have a chance to sign Dzingel. I would put Carolina and St Louis in that group. But likely others, too. If the ‘Canes can get Dzingel it makes it easier to perhaps move Ferland on Monday although he may stay put

If Flames involved in any of this, and today a travel day, BT wouldn't be swinging any deals while his players are still in the air (which they probably still are) . Don't want the phone blowing up saying you've been traded when you land, before the club has told you.
i'd be really happy if the only player player calgary traded for was Dzingle to be honest.
Better acquisition price, decent chance of resigning him within our cap structure...biggest issue is that he's an illinois kid, so the Blackhawks would be very appealing to him if he hits the UFA market
Would be an interesting add dependent on asset cost. It's easy to get caught up in a bidding war for the secondary scorer-types after the bigger names get moved.
Yeah it’s great that Johnny etc. can zip around the ice now over the 82 game stretch but playoffs are a different breed. Guys lay it all on the line because it’s win or your done.
I’m not even saying we need a goon. It’s just we’ve seen even in that Anaheim series where we got swept we got intimidated by the ducks and rolled over. I never want to see our team roll over. We are the 2nd highest scoring team in the league we don’t need more scorers. We need someone who can slot up and down the top two lines that intimidates the other teams. Really can lay some heavy hits and if he needs to drop the mitts. It helps take the focus off our stars because now the other team is targeting him and it lets Johnny and the rest focus on their game.
