The pictures are amazing. However the "stored in a camera for 68 years" part of the story is fake.

Those pictures are crazy. Although a bit touristy, Pearl Harbour should be on your list of things to see when in Oahu.

Every web browser / email client needs a "Validate with Snopes" button on it.

Yeah, just reading the text from that first website and it's "chain e-mail" tone is a good enough indicator that this is fake. This is the sort of stuff older computer users chain e-mail around to each other to perpetuate these things.

“Before we're done with them, the Japanese language will be spoken only in Hell!”

Shouldn't it had been "after" were done with them? either way hell is imaginary and the Japs turned out pretty good since those dark days.

It was a horrific event and all but I just can't stay mad at the country that gave us Mario.

After visiting in 04, realized that none of the American fighters were even armed while sitting ducks near Pearl Harbour. I think only one American pilot even got off that ground that frightful day. If you ever visit this paradise island in America, spend some time here, you won't soon forget it.

Actually three P-40's and an old P-36 got off the ground and 10 or so Dauntless dive bombers arrived from a carrier during the attack. None were lost during the dogfights with the Japanese but a few were shot down by friendly fire from the ground.

Yeah, two of them were piloted by Josh Hartnett and Ben Affleck! They did some serious damage too.

Oh. Wait. Was that in a movie?
