Stag Party Golfing
Hey guys,
I'm helping organize a stag this summer and am looking for some recommendations on golf courses in and around Calgary that can host a decent 9 for a reasonable price for a large group (about 20 - 30).
Thanks!
CGY

Since it is a stag, the golf may be of secondary consideration.
For something like that, I've always found Fox Hollow accommodating.

Yeah, stay away from the classier higher end establishments if you're doing that. Mine was held at a course called Sylvan Southland in Sylvan Lake and it was the right type of course to hold this at. It's a mediocre course, but I think they let us do 18 holes for $35 a head with carts and didn't care how bad of hooligans we were as long as we bought a round everytime the beer girl came by, and they made sure she hit us up every 2 holes that day. I think we returned about 3 carts with cracked hoods from demolition derby at the 16th hole.

Hooligan golf is always fun. Instigate a rule that anyone who doesn't make it past the ladies' tee on the first shot has the take the second shot with his pants at his ankles. That's always good for laughs.

HIGHLAND GOLF COURSE, Mcknight & Centre Street! Only $20 a round... (might be more for the weekend), plus you can't get much less classier than that place...
oh, and I think they allow hookers and blow

2nd'ed - although we call it PTA (Planes, Trains and Automobiles)... do the back nine as the front is like bowling lanes and with all the "whack, F#$%s" out there it's scary to be on it... although you could come up with some sort of drinking game... like say shotgun a beer for every stray ball that rolls through your feet and if your hit you get to make someone else shotgun a beer.

Fox Hollow is good for stags. My sister used to work there, got lots of stags coming through. Decent prices as it's not too fancy.
It is 18 holes though, but I'm sure you can just do the front or back if you want.

Make sure the groom golfs the entire round in a pink prom dress.

We did mine at Douglasdale. I lost my damn 7 iron somewhere that day, and it's actually pretty amazing that's all that was lost. What a drunken mess. Not sure if they complained about anything, I was a bit too far gone to notice.
Fox Hollow would be a pretty good choice as it really is a crap course, so you can't really "trash" it. Wear your hardhat on the front 9 though.

Edit: I guess the mods deleted and banned this clown.
Are you seriously going to go find every old ass thread about stags and bump them just to advertise? Please go pollute another forum.
