Can anyone recommend me a good vet for dogs? Preferably somewhat central....our puppy did something to one of its legs and I figure we're going to need a vet anyways when it comes time for the snip snip.

Thanks a bunch.

Take your dog to Trans Canada. Dr. Torrence is the absolute best vet in the city and his rates are the most reasonable.

432 16 Avenue Ne
Calgary, AB T2E 1K2
(403) 230-2397

The snip snip is the cheapest as well, around $200.

Alpine Pet Hospital is just up Macleod Trail by Chinook Centre. I've used them for my cat and they seem good - not sure how they are with dogs.

I don't think he's necessarily the best but there's no question he's one of, if not the cheapest. No question he's a great vet, the only problem is that he's super busy all the time because his prices are so low....

Bowmont is an excellent facility. My sister worked there for three years and I took both my cats there to be spayed and neutered without any issues. Both the vets are extremely knowledgable and they do not overcharge or try to do an agreesive upsell on things that are just not neccessary. They also are very stringent on monitoring pets while coming out of surgery and they are not just stuck in a cage all day waiting for you to pick them up.

^^Yeah I was quite impressed. They were able to see us relatively quick and were very informative....don't have much to compare it too but we'll definitely be going back.
