Quick question - incented to leave?

I'm re-applying for an old job, and have been given the option to select "Previously employed but was incented to leave" or "Previously employed but was not incented to leave." I quit the job and was not fired. Obviously choosing the wrong option here would seriously hurt my chances of being re-hired.

This doesn't really merit its own thread I know, but I'm not sure who to ask. Thanks in advance for anyone who can give me a hand!

I would assume incented to leave would mean you were laid off and was provided some sort of financial or other package to leave.

not incented to leave would mean you quit on your own.

However, that's purely an assumption by someone who doesn't know anything.

did they tell you to quit or you'd be fired? if not then the latter would be the correct choice

I'm thinking the latter is the right choice as well, but I keep wondering if the former means I had an incentive to leave (a new job, for example).
