Lotto Max winning numbers for tonite.
Wow huge delay in releasing info about them. Prob due to the extra 27 sets of numbers for Max Millions.
Normally they tell you if there is already a winner and from which province.
So here they are.
MacInnis
Bertuzzi
Loob
Nieuwendyk
Otto
Lindberg
Trefilov
Bonus # is Reichel.
I'm pretty sure I won but i'm too lazy to match all these damn numbers up.

I thought Martin Sonnenberg was one of the winning numbers?

There was 27 max millions, the numbers are up on the Western Canada Lottery site now. I think this Lotto Max is a bit of a ripoff, I mean they pretty much doubled the price from the super 7 and you still get the same ticket with virtually the same chances of winning.
I actually think it's fixed too, they know from their system the combinations of numbers that aren't on anyone's ticket. That could be why we see these big jackpots and they get people to buy more tickets thinking they're going to win.
I like the Western 649 myself and I believe that it will soon be changed to something "bigger and better". ie: more expensive.

I have never bought a lottery ticket. There have been a few times I pitched into a work pool for one, but I have never gone to 7-11 and actually bought one. Is it easy to do? Just go in and pick 6 numbers or something?

you can just ask for a quick pick, where the computer picks or fill out one of the papers they have there.

Wow. Next week's jackpot is 50 million AGAIN, with 45 maxmillions. Yeesh.

This is true, but the super 7 jackpots never got this high (the biggest was 38 million, but it hardly ever got over $20m or so) or had anything like maxmillions. And they started out at 2.5 million, not 10 million like the Max. When they made 6/49 $2 each it was the same idea - bigger jackpots, not better chances.

How much is the western 6/49? 2/$1? I live in BC, and we have the BC49, which used to be 50 cents apiece, now $1 each. The jackpots are always $2million though.

How do you win one of the maxmillions anyway? Do you have to match six numbers plus the bonus?

You just have to match the bonus. (I make it sound so easy!)

Are you serious? All it takes is to match one number? And no one was able to match it last night?

No.
They have one set of 7 numbers (plus a bonus number) for the jackpot.
THEN they also have (in this case) one set of 7 numbers for each of the 20 Maxmillions draws. On these draws you have to match the 7 numbers exactly, there are no prizes for getting a partial match.

Unlike Gary Bettman's lotteries they draw the numbers from a bingo machine live.

I've always wondered...
If I buy a ticket and a draw is made with no winners, is that ticket still valid for the next draw? Or do I need to buy another ticket?

How has no one won this thing yet? How many combinations are there for numbers out there?

You have to buy another one. Unless you bought it for X amount of weeks worth of plays but of course you pay more for that.

/3
as you get 3 picks per play
So for a $5 ticket, your odds of winning the Jackpot are 1 in 28,633,528
