Rogers Mobility - Problems today?

Is anyone having issues with their Rogers cell phone today?

I have an iPhone, and haven't been able to make an outgoing call all day. My data has also been completely messed with.

There seems to be three of us in my office with the same problem.

Anyone else?

Same problem - it has been on&off today. Not sure what is going on...

Same here, everyone in my office that has Rogers was down. I think it's back up now, but slow, and no 3G or even Edge for data right now.

My was told to switch from 3G to 2G

....whatever that means.....

Yes, I talked to Rogers tech support, and it's due to the weather.

Their advice:

1. Battery reboot....won't change anything
2. Tough beans, wait till the weather changes.

Mine's been effed all day, I thought it was my phone?

I put my sim into an old razor and it seems to be working fine though? Must just be certain phones that are affected.

2G works fine, its 3G that is buggered. You can switch it manually to 2G, it just won't work as fast.

I have a Iphone as well and it is not working in 3G. Turn off the 3G and the phone works fine, it is just the data is REALLY slow

On the iphone
Settings --> General --> Network --> slide the Enable 3G to "Off"

Yup, no service for me either. My wife too. I don't get how the weather affects the service but this happened to me and a bunch of people at work last week when it snowed too. All the Telus/Bell folks were fine though... I can't wait til this contract is up!

It sucks cause I took the day off today for a telus appointment and the guy never showed because he couldn't get a hold of me on my phone so now I get to do it all over again tomorrow.

hahaha, are you in denial that rogers just plain sucks? I've had zero problems all day with telus, come to think of it. it's been years since I went without my phone service.

No I am not. They have had problems with their telus phones. Personally I think they all suck.
