Default I like Shea Weber!

I never make these threads but this guy was Canada's best defenseman in the tournament and was named to the all-star team for the tourney. He was so calm and poise all tournament. I think he along with Doughty are going to be back winning multiple medals for Canada in the Olympics. Weber is a stud and one of the top 3 or 4 defenseman in the league.

just imagine Sochi in 4 years. Toews and Crosby with 4 more years of experience, Doughty and Weber in their prime holding blue line, and Canada's young stars just coming into their own in Tavares, Stamkos, and Duchene. all lead by the veteran Iginla, in his last Olympics

have fun with that Russia

Yeah, he had a dominant Olympics, IMO. Fantastic D-man.

Weber, Keith, and Doughty will be the backbone of the Olympic defense in 2014, and that is damn good. And that is forgetting Bouwmeester should should have been to these Olympics.

Weber is not as flashy as Dion, or other defenseman, but his fundamentals are extremely solid, and he has a wicked shot. He is a hell of a defenseman.

Goalie: Miller

Defense: Rafalski, Weber

Forwards: Toews, Parise, Demitra

Ryan Miller won tournament MVP which was deserving.

Why did Sutter draft Ramholt instead of him? ._.

He's a big strong Alberta defenceman...everything he loves...

He was the best defencemen we had at the tournament.

For all of Kieth's hype I was sorely disappointed.

Weber and Doughty were the 2 best defenceman by far for different reasons.

Really (on Keith)? He was the 3rd best dman on the team. I thought Weber, Doughty and Keith were all solid. Pronger and Niedermayer were brutal.

IMO I always thought Weber was better then Phaneuf because he doesn't make stupid pinches to try and make a big hit. His play on this stage just opened up the eyes for a lot of people who don't get to see a lot of Predator games.

When Phaneuf played up to his ability, he was every bit as good as Weber. The only thing with Phaneuf was that he was prone to too many mental lapses. But, when he was on, for a full game, he was just as dominant, if not more so.

They also could have drafted Zach Parise or Ryan Getzlaf. Just to name two.

Any other team could have drafted Shea Weber. He went in the second round. His development was outstanding, once drafted. (49th! overall)

But they drafted a defenseman in front of Weber... so that's the position they wanted
