Default The Knockout "Game"

Has anyone heard or read about this? The point of the game is to just walk up to some random person and sucker punch them in the head. There have been fatalities. People suck.

It’s a terrifying new ‘game’ called the ‘knockout game’ that’s already caused deaths in Syracuse, St. Louis and New Jersey is sweeping the nation, and it preys upon unsuspecting people walking the streets, anywhere.

A recent report from New York-based CBS 2 shed light on the growing trend, displaying unsettling footage of teens participating in this game – which goes by the name ‘Knockout’ – and involves randomly targeting passersby, with the ultimate goal being to knock them out with one punch as they walk by.

One victim shown in the footage was 46-year-old Ralph Santiago of Hoboken, N.J., who was found dead with his neck broken and head lodged between iron fence posts, according to NJ.com.

Heard quite a bit about this. People are wising up, and some of the folks who are doing it are getting some of their own back. One guy who did it was shot twice and ended up in jail for a year. Awareness is spreading of this, which is good.

Except for the 'footage' and 'acknowledged fatalities' parts.

Yes, people are being punched in the head. I'm saying I don't think this is some widespread "game"

They're assaults.

As much fun as it was for me, and the lady doing the ultrasound of my nuts, I think I'm done with that game.

they need to punish these crimes 10 fold.

some of these things that target unsuspecting men-women-teens etc need to be dealt with harshly.

i can't stand this sh*t.

This guy seems to think it is phony

http://www.thedailybeast.com/article...ony-panic.html

Will the overblown panic by the media actually create the problem?

I'd say this is precisely the case where capital punishment would be welcome and appropriate. If someone kills a random innocent person for no reason or unfortunate circumstance whatsoever, he/she just don't deserve to live.

"Your honour, my client didn't want to kill the victim; he was just playing the "knockout" game for fun, you know."
"Oh, got it. Shoot him, please."

a very broad way to put it hahaha BUT to a degree i fully agree.

if you assault, murder, rob, drink and drive causing death etc etc... then the punishment should be so severe that it scares people from thinking of doing it. it wont wipe out the problem BUT im sure it will make people think twice/ three times more oftn then not.

the same goes with DUI's, tax frauds, pedophiles etc etc
