Anybody know any good free PDF writers? In a perfect world it wouldn't stamp any ads for itself (or anything else) on my documents.

Noodz of my wife to the winner!

http://openoffice.org

Free, open source office software. Can save files directly as PDF.

Note sure if it is the best, but it has worked for me. I'd be curious to know what others recommend.

Thanks a lot you guys. I tried this one because I liked how it installs like a printer (maybe they all do, but this is the one I tried). Works perfectly.

I'm just going to PDF the noodz and send 'em your way.

It's a fantastic program, basically anything you can print, it will convert to a PDF. Plus it makes combining documents and items from other files into one PDF file so easy.

I use this everyday for work and have never had any issues with it. I think every company should have pdfcreator. As it would cut down on so much of the needless printing then scanning. And best of all, its free!

We use cutepdf at work.

Only thing I ever need converted to PDF are word files, so I tend to just download the plug in the save them as pdf.

I had to look, but I'm using PrimoPDF. Does what I need it to do- no watermarks.

Another vote for PDF Creator. I also use OpenOffice to make my documents PDFs, but PDF Creator is handy when not in OpenOffice (saving a receipt from a web site, for example).

Do you know if this works with Windows 7? I have Adobe Professional 7 and apparently it doesn't work with Windows 7 and I really need to fresh install on my computer.
