Seriously.

My street STINKS right now. Down around the end of the block there is a small block of sidewalked blocked off and something burning - like tar or something

WTF is it?

The entire neighbourhood reeks and I can even smell it in my house.

Anyone seen this before. WTF?!

It may have something to do with being in Forest Lawn.

It may the mixture of straw and coal burning the City uses to thaw the ground when doing subsurface work. Smells like stinky feet. Are you in a new burb community? That's usually where you find this concoction.

No. I'm actually in one of Calgary's oldest communities. Near the Beltline.

I talked to a co-worker this morning and that's exactly what it is - they are thawing the ground. But dear god it reeks.

I used to live near Lethbridge. I didn't really notice it at the time, but now everytime I head down that way you get a huge wiff of manure. Not sure if it's from all the processing plants and feed lots nearby or all the crap on the wannabe-cowboys' boots while they're walking around in the "Big City."

Yeah the Bridge is a stinky place. There is a Catelli pasta factory in the middle of the city and every time it rains the whole town just reeks.

When I was younger I thought KFC and the industrial area by the tracks smelled the same. Looking back, that's kinda disturbing.

The industrial area stinks from the Black Velvet plant at times. I play/practice rugby right there and now I am pretty much used to it but when I first came down I couldn;t stand it.

And there certainly days when you get that feed lot smell blowing into the city. Can't stand that at all.
