I've never got a chance to watch it in HD until now. I must say that it is amazing.

love the Band of Brothers marathons on Spike. They seem to do this once or twice a year, and I never get tired of it
it's also one of those shows that I don't mind the commercial breaks. It's so intense that you need a moment to breathe

Ep. 6 (Bastogne) running right now.
Lt.Norman Dyke makes me want to punch something...every single time I watch "Bastogne" and "Hoy".
Grow a pair, you worthless POS...
Great series..."Carentan" is my favorite Ep. by far. The "Market Garden" one is right up there too. So is "Day of Days" for that matter...

You're all fools, clearly the best episode is all of them.

Recently borrowed the DVD set from a friend and watched it so not this time. I'm always recording WWII stuff. I recently watched The Longest Day and the Midway movie. I won't write spoilers in case anyone hasn't seen them yet.

Probably one of the best written, most dramatic, most scary episodes of TV ever. Its really hard to watch and not be effected emotionally.
Do they show them commercial free? I have them all on DVD and watching 1-2 back to back for 5 nights is really really awesome. I love it.

If the Blythe episode is the one where that insane soldier runs through the enemies base and back to relay info... That is one of the strongest scenes from any show made

Blythe is the shy guy who is kind of a #####, then as soon as he gets some balls (spoilers in white)he ends up getting killed right away.
It was good the first time but has no replay value.

Keep on chuggin, it's definitely not BoB but its still good. Slow starter, but it really picks up the last few episodes. 6-9 is pretty much just all battles (with great production value considering its a TV mini-series), it's worth a watch. I hear ya though, 1-5 really dragged.

False Blithe never died in WWII though he was wounded but he survived. A mistake on the BOB crew, he actually died on December 17, 1967.
