I felt it this morning in Prince Rupert. It was pretty mild, but still a little menacing because I wasn't sure if it was going to get stronger or not.

I was also in Vancouver a few years ago for that 6.3 quake... and this was nothing compared to that one.

Had family in Terrace who felt the rumble too...guess it was relatively uneventful...shook the house for a minute or two.

The Charlottes are Vancouver like Grande Prairie is Calgary.

I used to live there, no biggie, quakes happen all the time. There's a nastly fault line that crosses the highway near Tlell. Looks like the quake was centred right by Ninstints, one of the last places on the coast where there are still old totems in their original location. They're pretty fragile now, I hope they are still intact.

I recall experiencing a small one back in the early 70's. I went into an office downtown and a fern, hanging from the ceiling in the reception area, was swinging back and forth all of a sudden.

Interesting.

I distinctly remember being in my Grandma's house in Kalispell in the early 70's when we experienced an earthquake. She had a wheeled cart that she used for transplanting houseplants into larger pots. That cart started to roll and went from one end of the house to the other.

Wonder if it was the same quake?
