Bars in Victoria BC - Calgarypuck Forums - The Unofficial Calgary Flames Fan Community

Does anyone know of any good bars/nightclubs in Victoria BC? I am here for one night tonight on a business trip and don't really feel like staying in my hotel. If possible, anything close to the Fairmont Empress Hotel, but I can take a cab anywhere if it's worthwhile.

Darcys (Unofficial "Flames Central" of Victoria) and Upstairs Cabaret is, well, upstairs from that.

It is almost walking distance for you! I would say MAX 10 minute walk.

When you go outside the hotel make a right down Government and then go down Wharf street. You can't miss it. They will have a live band tonight and then Upstairs can get pretty crazy depending on the night.

You're within walking distance to the Stratchona as well. There are 3 or 4 bars there, as well as a nightclub. The Games Room is great if you're looking to shoot pool or play darts. Element is at the same spot and is pretty decent for a club.

I would, i went once, and no one was there, the other time only one showed up.

All my friends here are canuck fans, i need some flames fans for sanity.

Ya we had a turn out of about 8ish when kerm was in town. That's the night we ended up at the strippers and then played NHL09 til 3am. It was a pretty funny night.

I'd be down for another one but probably later in the season.

Went to Darcy's. It was awesome... I couldn't believe I was in victoria with Flames stuff everywhere. I wanted to go to Upstairs, but my friend was being emo.... he always pretends he's gonna come out and party, but instead stays at home and texts his girlfriend all night... tonight was no exception. Too bad because there seemed to be a lot of chicks there, plus they had some sort of Halloween thing going on there.

Glad you enjoyed it. I'm friends with one of the owners and a bunch of the staff and my cousin owns that restaurant across the alley there.

Too bad about your friend you should have gone up there alone and met some chicks. University chicks are easy.
