The Montreal Canadiens have sent Ales Kotalik (65) to the St. Louis Blues in exchange for Jussi Jokinen (63). Kotalik was a defensive liability playing on our 3rd line so Jokinen is a much better fit for that spot. His SC isn't a whole lot below Kotalik's either so he can hopefully pot 10 goals or so.
Kotalik is a better offensive weapon, and the Blues certainly needed that. With this acquisition, we can now ice 2 solid scoring lines, with wingers all with over 70SC. He's also on the last year of his deal, giving us a bit more flexability in the off season
