http://rense.com/grm/htgrm.htm
i remember a thread posted here a while back with some other newly released LIFE photos, but i don't remember seeing any of these in there. pretty surreal to see Hitler in color with all those thousands of swastikas. he was obsessed with that symbol

I still believe him to be one of the most fascinating people. Not in the neo-nazi way, just in general.
Seeing colour pictures of that time is unreal.

Interesting pictures. I wonder if his car in those pictures is the same one that is in Ottawa? The Canadian War Museum actually has (one of) Hitler's cars. Amazing to see.

Thanks for posting! Very surreal to see the pics in color.
Can you imagine what being at one of those rallys must have been like?

There's nothing debatable about slaughtering millions of people.
The pictures are fascinating though, thanks OP.

The few photos where Hitler isn't in his usual garb are the most fascinating to me. To see him just like any other person of the time lounging on a chair in a suit is almost surreal.
Also the rare shots where he was caught smiling or in an animated conversation with people are pretty interesting.
Whenever I see threads like this on any website I am always reminded I still need to watch that German film "Downfall". It is supposed to be a really good film on those last few days of his life.

Interesting pictures. I have a difficult time appreciating color photos from this era...I am not sure why.

The guy had more drugs in his system than Michael Jackson.

Our family has a childhood picture(about 1945) of my aunt and mother that is in colour. I think they said the photographer worked for Sears and took the picture at the farm. The dresses and their eyes were hand painted blue after the pictures were developed. It cost extra. Maybe that is what Hitler's photographer did.

Hitler knew that you can reinforce people's committment to a cause by having a constant symbol to remind them of "the cause." See: Christianity

My grandfather was at a few of those rallies as an Austrian conscripted infantryman. We got his war records many years ago, and saw that, before he was shipped out to the front lines, just after training, his unit/company/whatever was stationed in Germany itself as part of the homeland security force. He never wanted to talk about it though at all, other than to say that it was preferable to getting dysentery in the trenches.
BTW, did the picture with the guys wearing no shirts remind anyone else of Indiana Jones?

Definitely eerie. Like a poster above said, it's so weird to see him in a relaxed and smiling fashion, because as we've seen him in the west, he's always been portrayed as a cold man. Still out of his friggin mind though.
I noticed at that one rally in the stadium, it did read "Wir", which does mean "we" in German. So that's where the whole college stadium spelling thing came from...

Amazing. He is like a rock star at those rallies.
What I would do go back in time and get close enough to get a shot off on him.
