Default McKeens on Flames Prospects

Hi I got the McKeens 2009-10 Yearbook in the mail a couple days ago. Highly recommend going out and getting it. They have some pretty good write-ups on the Flames prospects. MOD EDIT: Sorry that's copyrighted material

Sorry - had to delete your material - it's copyrighted stuff.

Has anyone seen in store yet?

Has anybody seen any copy of McKeen's around Calgary? The 7-11 and Chapters I've checked out don't have it yet.

I don't actually know, but I don't think there is one. You wouldn't be able to post an entire newspaper article here either, just links to one and small quotes.

Most articles from newspapers are available online for free though we still don't want full items posted.

In this case a for-sale publication is the only means to get the material - by posting it here, even partially, we are exposing ourselves to risk because the content isn't available for free anywhere.

For those looking for it - picked a copy up at Shoppers today. A good read so far.

Is someone at least allowed to provide a Cole's notes version?

So I'm in Comox at a tiny grocery store and it turns out they have the McKeen's Yearbook. Similar to last year, in depth reports on the major fantasy worthy players. Definitely worth checking out.

Yeah a summary would be OK - just not actual quotes.
I can do it tomorrow (at work tonight - don't have it here)

The top 150 prospects has Backlund 20th up from 24. Nemisz 79th from 95. Erixon 100th, Brodie 116.
Of goalies Irving is ranked 8th again.
Flames middle of the pack with 5 prospects making the grade, Detroit #1 with 9. Oilers 4. Philly bottoms at 2.

Very nice words re Backlund. Lacks consistency only real negative.
Irving and Brodie recieve praise, Nemisz less so. Only other guy mentioned is Greentree, all good except skating issues.

They predict the Flames will win the NW with 98 points.

Backlund is praised for his WJC performance and quick strike capabilities as well as work off the halfwall on the PP. But brilliant only in flashes

Talks about Irving's excellent reflexes and sound positioning. Puck handling needs improvement

Nemisz - steady but unspectacular. "Stealth like in offensive zone".

Brodie - needs to add some muscle. But apart from that a lot of praise.

I really enjoy McKeen's annual. One of the strongest out there.

My only wish is that they would cover more prospects for each team - at least the top 10.
