This was the winning act from Ukraine's Got Talent 2009.
It starts with the original radio announcement on June 22, 1941 German army invading the Soviet Union. Followed by very popular songs written about the WWII. In short, it’s a story about a woman that loses her loved one in that war, but their child is a memory of their love. The last words are: “You are always near me”.
Pretty awesome talent.

Great Find! Neat way to tell a story. And yes the last song is Nothing Else Matters as done by Apocalyptica (A metal tribute band in four cellos) though one of the songs in the middle is also one of their remakes I believe as well.
And yes, Ukrainian women can be quite spellbinding. I will make it to Kiev one of these days yet.
incredible, i love how it relies on the human brain's natural ability to put human faces to abstract shapes, we automatically fill in the details so her work can be quick and fluid
too bad this would never fly on the American version of that show, the attention span of the mainstream viewer is smaller than a gnat so they can't have acts longer than 90 seconds

Hey, I resemble that remark!
What were we talking about again?
It's funny because while amazing, i was starting to get board and started scrolling through the rest of the thread when i came upon your comment.

My kid is doing double time in her sandbox after watching this. Maybe I need to pump a little Metalica into the back yard for inspiration. I wonder what kind of sand this girl used. The standard Home Depot stuff is probably not good enough - must be what's holder my little one back.
