I think it is just because of the awkward date of Remembrance day. Wed-Th-Fri isn't really a reading break.

I never recall them having a real one in the Fall. There's one in the Winter.

They normally have 1 or 2 days, never the full week like in the winter semester

All I remember is "reading day".

If only more people committed suicide in the fall we could have gotten a REAL break.
