Islanders GM struck a deal this morning to send recently acquired UFA D Colin White to the Coyotes for recently signed UFA RW Jason Chimera. Although White never laced up with the Islanders, they were in desperate need for a CPHL LW and Chimera will be able help fill that void. Drury will be able to move back to Centre.
Doing my Shore Division preview....the Islanders are lacking a bit up front, but actually look reasonably good on the back end. So this is definitely trading to help fill a need. Good trade.
